The Results

After getting all my blood work done and completing all my paperwork, I was able to sit down with the doctor as he explained the results and the possible treatment.

My doctor is Indian and has a very thick accent. The appointment went a lot longer than scheduled because I had to ask the doctor to explain things and to repeat things over and over. To this day I can't understand him so I communicate with him mostly through blogs. Luckily, I have a new doctor ... another day, another entry.

This appointment had been very bitter sweet for me. I wanted to find out what was wrong and get it fixed, but on the other hand I was scared to know what was wrong. What if it something untreatable? What if I can't ever have children? As the case always is, I talked myself into thinking things were going to be a lot worse than they really were.

I was told that I have low progesterone levels (which I thought might be the problem) and James' sperm (I hate that word, so if I refer it to stuff instead that is why) was slightly off of the average shape. Nothing too serious. My doctor suggested that I start taking the lowest dose of Clomid and do artificial insemination.

Due to pharmacy error, I wasn't able to start Clomid until November 2007. That month when the time was right, we went in to do artificial insemination.

I am curious, why did you think your progesterone was low. I think mine is too and I really think that is one of the causes of my Miscarriage in January. I have done a lot of research and everything points back to low progesterone and endometriosis. I am just curious about why you thought that and it ended up being true. If it is too personal I understand.
